So I was sketching up a preliminary drawing for a commission and figured I'd post it, and then once I scanned it, had the idea to give it an ancient feel. This is the result.
The creature is yet another species to go along with the Profiles piece. Not sure what I should call it though.

Very nice! The beak looks pretty cool, as well as that eye. The ancient feel just adds to the whole thing even more, I'd say.
